I. - Gómez Don Benito, hidalgo and noble person, solar-known lineage and a native of the village of Don Benito, Extremadura, conqueror of Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru, discoverer and conqueror of Chile with Diego de Almagro and Pedro de Valdivia, 1536 and 1540; was field master of this last expedition and founder, alderman, mayor, real lieutenant and deputy mayor of Santiago, 1541-1567, and encomendero Quilicura. 1 .- Peter, Magdalena cc of Azocar.
2 .- Elena, married to Captain Pedro de Aguilar Gajardo
3 .- Francisca Molina married to Jerome (see Molina)
4 .- Mary, who married the conquistador Pedro Ordóñez Delgadillo, a native of Zamora, captain alderman, mayor and alderman perpetual Santiago, 1576-81 and encomendero de Valdivia.
5 and 6 .- Benita and Leonor, Augustinian nuns.
7 .- half-brother John, captain, born in Peru and based in Mendoza, married Jerónima of Mayorga.
